Students Visit Honeybee Research and Training Institute on 18 April 2024
Students of Saraswati Vishva Vidyalaya National School, Talwade, visited the Central Honeybee Research and Training Institute, Shivajinagar, on 18 April 2024 as part of an educational study tour. The visit aimed to provide practical knowledge and awareness about honeybee research, conservation, and scientific beekeeping practices.
A total of 52 students participated in this one-day educational tour. During the visit, students were given hands-on training on handling honeybees, hive management, and honey production techniques. Pimpri-Chinchwad, March 2024 – Students of CBSE-run Saraswati Vishva Vidyalaya National School, Talawade, actively participated in the Government of India’s Ni-kshay Mitra initiative by supporting tuberculosis (TB) patients through the distribution of specially prepared food baskets.
As part of this social responsibility initiative, students visited Akurdi Hospital and handed over nutritious food baskets to 13 TB patients, thereby supporting nearly 20–25 beneficiaries. The initiative aimed to contribute to the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan by helping meet the nutritional needs of TB patients and spreading awareness about the disease among students.
